လိၢ်ကွဲမုာ်အဆၢကတီၢ်

အဝဲသ့ၣ်လိာ်ကွဲသကိး မုၢ်အိၣ်ဝဲတနံၤန့ၣ် ကိလူကွဲးမုာ်ဝဲဒၣ် "တနံၤညါအံၤပကလိာ်ကွဲက့မ်လၢအသီတမံံၤန့ၣ်လီၤ

They played together. One day, Golu said, “Let’s play a new game today.”

"နဲဒၣ်န့ၣ် နဘၣ်ဆ့ၣ်နီၤ ယဲယကယူၤလီၤလၢနချၢဃံ" ဆိထူတဲဘၣ် ကိလူဆ့ၣ်နီၤ ဆိထူတခွ့ထီၣ်ခီၣ်ဖးထီ

“You sit down. I’ll land on your back in one flying leap,” said Chhotu. Golu sat down. Chhotu took a mighty leap.

တုၢ်! ဆိထူခွ့လီၤလၢကိလူအချၢဃံ "ဝီးဧူၤ" ကိလူနံၤဝဲဒၣ်ဝံၤဒီးတဲဝဲ "ယၤဒီးနီၢ် နဲနဘၣ်ဆ့ၣ်နီၤ ဒီးယကခွ့လီၤလၢနချၢဃံတထံၣ်စ့ၢ်ကီး"

Thump! Chhotu landed on Golu’s back. “Wow!” laughed Golu. “My turn now. You sit down and I will leap on your back.”

"နၤနုၤ" "မ့ၢ်,ယၤအံၤလီၤ" "နကမၤဒ်လဲၣ်" ဆိထူသံကွၢ်ဝဲ

“You?” asked Chhotu. “Yes, me,” said Golu. “How can you do that?” asked Chhotu.

"ဒ်အံၤယၢၣ်" ကိိလူမၤ မၢအကွၢ်

"Like this!" Golu showed him.

တူၢ် တူၢ် တူၢ် ဃီၤသၣ်အါဖျၢၣ်လီၤတဲာ်ဘၣ်ကိလူအခိၣ်သၣ်

Thud… thud… thud… A shower of coconuts came down on Golu’s head.

ကိလူပျံၤဝဲဒီးစံၣ်ကွံာ်ဝဲ အခီၣ်ဘီၣ်လဲၤတူာ်လူာ်ဆူဘးန့ၣ်

Golu ran away scared.

ဃီသၣ်ဆံး လီၤတဲာ်ဘၣ်ဆိထူအခိၣ်သၣ်

One small coconut fell on Chhotu.

‘ကိညၢ်ဒံး ဆိထူဆိမိၣ်’ ‘ဃီသၣ်လီၤတဲာ်ဘၣ်န့ၣ် ဂ့ၤန့ၢ်ကဆီလီၤတဲာ်ဘၣ်ခိၣ်သၣ်!’
