ယထီၣ်တၢ်သ့

ယထီၣ်ဃီသ့လံံ

I can climb up the steps.

ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ယက့ၤလီၤတသ့ဘၣ်

But I cannot climb down again.

ယထီၣ်ခးဆ့ၣ်နီၤသ့လံ

I can climb on a chair.

ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ယက့ၤလီၤတသ့ဒံးဘၣ်

But I cannot climb down again.

ယထီၣ်ခးဆ့ၣ်နီၤသ့လံ ဝံၤအလီၢ်ခံ ထီၣ်လၢစဘွဲခိၣ်သ့လံ

I climb on to the chair, and then on the table!

ဘၣ်ဆၣ်ယက့ၤလီၤတသ့ဒံးဘၣ်

But I cannot climb down again.

ပါပၢ်ဧၢ ပါပၢ် ယကီးဖှး ယပၢ်နံၤ စိၤနူး မၤလိနသးလၢက့ၤလီၤဒံးအသ့ ယပၢ်တဲဝဲ

"Papa! Papa!" I shout. Papa laughs. "Sonu, learn to climb down!" he says.

ယပျံၤတၢ် ဘၣ်ဆၣ်တဟီၣ်ဘၣ်

I am afraid. But I do not cry.

ယက့ၤလီၤကယီကယီလၢစဘွဲ ဒီးခးဆ့ၣ်နီၤအလိၤ

Slowly, I get down from the table, and down from the chair.

လၢခံကတၢၢ် ယမၤလိသ့သးလၢကက့ၤလီၤသ့န့ၣ်လီၤ

At last, I have learnt to climb down too!
